CSIC's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA) is looking for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join its Technological Development Unit as part of the smartNorms project funded by AGAUR (the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants of the Generalitat de Catalunya).
The smartNorms project seeks to innovate, through ICT, in the automated compliance checking with respect to standards and codes in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector, in order to make a qualitative leap in the interoperability capacity between the different agents involved, and thus significantly improve project management in this industrial sector. For this reason, an experimental prototype of a tool will be developed that demonstrates computational support for the verification task, combining modeling and information management techniques with knowledge-based artificial intelligence techniques. A small advance in the automation of the process can mean a significant reduction in time, cost and risk of error, in addition to orienting the adoption of those ICT technologies that will lead to a quality and efficient electronic administration in its rule verification task.
The contract will be complemented with an entrepreneurship training plan by AGAUR, whose purpose is the generation of new business models for the valorization and transfer of research results, and will count with the supervision of a Industrial Mentor from the SME Enginyeria i Project Management.
