About the Technology Development Unit (UDT-IA)
The UDT-IA is a service of the IIIA-CSIC research lines with the aim of promoting the transfer of knowledge and technologies from IIIA research to society, promoting and managing collaboration with innovative companies and organizations that want to incorporate AI into their processes. Another of the UDT-IA's goals is to act as an observatory, to detect innovation needs in business, as well as to promote and disseminate the scientific activity carried out at the Institute. The UDT-IA, through different agents and strategies, ensures that the knowledge originated in the center is transferred to society, both at the educational and business level.
About the role
- You will work with expert researchers in artificial intelligence.
- You will develop software prototypes and proofs of concepts from artificial intelligence algorithms.
- Your work will help companies learn and incorporate the latest results in artificial intelligence.
- You will help promote and disseminate the scientific activity that takes place at the Institute.
- Your software will support innovation and industrial development with the aim of promoting the transfer of knowledge and technologies from IIIA research to society.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with expert AI researchers to turn their algorithms into source code.
- Develop AI software prototypes and proofs of concept.
Desired Skill and Experience:
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
- Good programming experience in frontend technologies like Python, Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS and frameworks like Angular or DJango.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with agile development methods and tools.
- Great communication skills – particularly the ability to discuss timelines, design concerns and provide helpful feedback to team members.
The following skills are considered strong pluses but are not required:
- Experience with machine learning/deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, or similar) and related libraries.
