Angela studied at the UB, she defended her PhD at the IIIA-CSIC and she performed a post-doc at the UAB. She teaches at the university. She founded an IT company and she is also a maker that teaches STEM to teenagers.

Applying a new academic reputation model to IJCAI1 conference paper reviews in order to support the Program Committee Chairs to decide on paper acceptance. Developing an educational platform to assist teachers and students in the assignment review. Running several experiments with high-school and university classrooms to generate datasets for the evaluation of automated assessment models in education contexts. Creating a demonstrator to show the automated assessment possible benefits.
Applying for research projects, working in two I+D projects with industrial partners like Scytl and running pilots. Proposing a new delay and disruption tolerant computer network (DTN) with mobile software routing data between peers. Creating a mobile crowd sourcing platform for electoral process observation with network anonymity.
A new definition of social network for Fashion and Beauty. My earlier experience of working in a start-up and the interesting results obtained from my PhD gave me the determination to start a business. I co-founded this CSIC EBT (spin-off) and led its technology department.
Participating in several Artificial Intelligence research projects, some of them for industrial companies like Siemens Medical and iSOCO. Identification of biomedical markers for the cancer decease with evolutionary algorithms and neuronal networks. Using trust models to support supplier selection in Supply Chain Management. Studying Automated Negotiation in real scenarios which involve humans and which involve time limited Decision Making to compete for resources. Applying trust models to Strategic Management of high performance sales teams.
Teaching basic pro- gramming, software engineering and advanced database as well as supervising students’ final projects (TFC).
Developing the posting, commenting, messaging and notification systems of this social network for music recommendation. Creating the part of the site used for the musicians to publish their work. Designing a rating system to support the recommendation system working under the social network. The company changed its name to Strands and is currently focused on finances instead of music.
