Josep Lluís is a Research Scientist at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA,CSIC). His research is focused on Machine Learning and on applying Machine Learning to music computing systems. He received an M.S. in musical creation and sound technology from Pompeu Fabra University in 1996 and a Ph.D. in computer science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1997. From his experience in applying AI techniques to music computing, now leads the guitarLab initiative. He also is an amateur guitar player. |

Enric is a lecturer on acoustics, electronics and computer science at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). His work is focused on multimodal acquisition for musical instruments with the inclusion of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. He got his PhD in Computer Science and Digital Communications in 2009 with a dissertation on automatic music genre classification, at the Music Technology Group (MTG, UPF). He was a post-doctoral researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA,CSIC) during 2009-2010. He is assistant professor in audio and music processing at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He is also an amateur piano player and collaborates with the Barcelona Laptop Orchestra. |

Tan has a computer engineering degree, but after University his passion about music, first pushed him to music production and then to music technology area. He has two master degrees, first from Istanbul Technical University about sound engineering and second from Pompeu Fabra University, about sound and music computing. He is a PhD student at Pompeu Fabra University (Music Technology Group) performing the research at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA, CSIC). He is also an electric-guitar player, he is performing concerts with the band Siete Colinas, all around Barcelona. |
