The LiquidPub project is focused on changing the current publications paradigm by changing the way knowledge in created, disseminated, evaluated, and maintained. The idea is to have a dynamic (or liquid) paradigm that promotes the evolution of knowledge, collaboration between scientists, fair credit attribution, etc.
This seminar talk will be a bit different than others, since it does not really present complete (or mature) work, but work in progress. I plan to introduce the LiquidPub project, its goals, and how we plan to achieve those goals, while focusing on the reputation side of the problem. I will then provide a prelimenary discussion of how the reputation of research work may be computed, how we plan to compute the reputation of researchers, etc. Finally, I will try to point out how all of this may affect/change the current publication paradigm.
