Abstract:

Local regions have proven to be very successful to put in correspondence images subject to point of view, scale or illumination changes. The correspondence accomplishment of local regions depends on the performance of the local region descriptor methods. Depending on the region characteristics, a descriptor will be better than other, therefore combining different descriptors using a voting schema could improve the performance of the local region matching process.
