The SaxEx system for expressive music synthesis : a progress report

Abstract:

In this paper we present a general overview about the research performed at the IIIA on the problem of synthesizing expressive music. In particular, we describe several extensions and improvements of a previously reported system [5, 4, 6, 3] capable of generating expressive music by imitating human performances. The system is based on Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) and Fuzzy techniques.
