Abstract:

We present a method to learn terms in a fuzzy rule based system by means of similarity relations. The method applies to conjunctive systems, such as Mamdani fuzzy controllers, as well as to implicate systems. The approach is implemented in such a way to guarantee both rule base consistency and covering.
