Xavier Vilà is an associate professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since Fall 1994, after he obtained his PhD from the Department of Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences at the Northwestern University. His main interests are Evolutionary Game Theory, Bounded Rationality, and Agent-Based Computational Economics. He has taught courses on Statistics, Game Theory, and Agent-Based Computational Economics both at the undergraduate and the graduate level. Xavier Vilà is a MOVE (Makets, Organizations and Votes in Economics) Research Fellow since the creation of the institute in 2009 and fellow of the “Laboratory for Socio-Historical Dynamics Simulation” (LSDS) since 2011. As member of the LSDS he organized the 5th Summer School of the European Social Simulation Association (September 2014).
