Martin Caminada

Martin Caminada obtained his PhD degree in 2004 with a thesis titled “For the Sake of the Argument; explorations in argument-based reasoning”. From 2004 to 2007 he was working on the ASPIC project, where he laid the foundation of what would later become the ASPIC+ framework of instantiated argumentation theory. Some of the work of Dr. Caminada’s argumentation theory has appeared at venues like AIJ, AAMAS, IJCAI and ECAI and JAAMAS, and he has given previous tutorials and invited talks at ESSLLI, EASSS, IJCAI and JURISIN. He is currently involved in writing three of the book chapters in the Handbook of Formal Argumentation Theory.
